Pores

Visible pores cannot be shrunk cosmetically, but they can be cleared and refined: BHA dissolves sebum inside the pore, niacinamide regulates oil production, clay masks absorb excess. Toner pads such as the Medicube Zero Pore Pads combine both in one step.

Guide: Pores

What helps with large pores

Pores look larger when they are filled with sebum and dead skin cells or when the skin loses elasticity. Cosmetically, the contents can be reduced and the skin surface smoothed: BHA cleans the pore from the inside, niacinamide regulates sebum, PHA smooths gently, and clay masks absorb excess. Hydration remains important: dry skin often produces more sebum.

Routine for finer-looking pores

  1. In the evening, double cleansing so that sunscreen and sebum are completely removed.
  2. Two to three times a week toner pads with BHA or PHA, otherwise a hydrating toner.
  3. Niacinamide serum in the morning or evening.
  4. Light gel cream; once a week a clay mask.
  5. Sunscreen in the morning, because UV radiation weakens skin elasticity.

Frequently asked questions

Can pores be shrunk permanently?

Pore size is genetically determined. Cosmetics can clear pores and smooth the skin so they look smaller, but cannot shrink them permanently.

What is better for pores: BHA or niacinamide?

The two complement each other: BHA dissolves sebum in the pore, niacinamide regulates sebum production and refines the complexion. Many routines use BHA in the evening and niacinamide daily.
